If you’re looking to experience Japan’s classic bouldering style in the heart of Tokyo, Prime Climbing is the place to be!
We’re just a 5-minute taxi ride from Tokyo Station, and only a 5-minute walk from Hacchobori and Kayabacho stations — two neighborhoods full of hotels and perfect for sightseeing.
With a 4.2-meter (14 ft) wall height, our gym offers a satisfying challenge for climbers of all levels. You’re bound to find a problem you’ll love!
Climbing gyms in Japan typically offer two options: pay-per-visit or monthly passes.
For your first visit, there is a one-time registration fee. But don’t worry − it includes free shoe rental tickets, free chalk rental, and an introductory lesson explaining how to climb safely and how the Japanese grading system works.
Many of our staff speak fluent English and are known for their warm hospitality toward international visitors.
Like many Japanese homes, Prime Climbing is compact − but not crowded or uncomfortable. In fact, our small size helps build a closer community. You’ll find it easy to connect with other climbers and share the joy of climbing together. This friendly, respectful atmosphere is quite different from the vibe at large commercial gyms.
So why not add a unique bouldering experience to your Tokyo adventure? We’d love to welcome you to Prime Climbing!
